2018 Promotions

A growing leadership.

Diana Linsenmayer AIA, LEED AP, Associate Principal

We are excited to announce the promotion of Diana to Associate Principal to continue to build on her 13 years of success with the firm. Diana will oversee firm operations and leverage her expertise in academic and residential design.

“Diana strives to ensure the optimal balance of design, program, and budget to express each client’s unique vision,” said Ed Hodges, Principal & CEO of DiMella Shaffer. “Her dedication to creatively accommodating her clients’ needs has earned her colleagues respect and her clients’ gratitude, all qualifying talents demonstrated by an Associate Principal.”

Since joining DiMella Shaffer in 2005, Diana has contributed to the design of numerous spaces - from residential and mixed-use facilities to commercial renovations and new construction. Most recently, she’s been an invaluable designer on notable DiMella Shaffer projects such as East Village at Northeastern University and the Cronkhite Graduate Center renovation at Harvard University amongst others.

“My main goal has always been to cultivate meaningful relationships with clients and coworkers alike, and have fun with each and every project,” said Diana. “To work in a leadership role at a firm like DiMella Shaffer, filled with such fantastic professionals, is quite an honor.”

We are also thrilled to announce the promotion of Doug Rand to Senior Associate and Eric Viele to Director of Digital Technology.

Doug Rand AIA, LEED AP BD+C, CPHC, Senior Associate

Since joining the firm in 2001, Doug has demonstrated exemplary project management skills for all his clients – most recently, for higher education projects such as South College at UMass Amherst. Doug also leads the Sustainability Working Group within the office, educating teams on how to best implement more environmentally-conscious practices into their projects.
