Internship Dates: Monday, May 4, 2026 – Friday, August 21, 2026 

Schedule: In office, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week  

 

DiMella Shaffer is seeking an Interior Design Intern for the summer 2026 internship cycle. As an intern, you’ll work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team delivering design excellence across a variety of markets. Our team is responsible for balancing quality, creativity, and functionality while working to exceed client goals. 

Through design research, documentation revisions, strong organizational skills, and clear communication, the Interior Design Intern will support our team in creating thoughtful, high-performance environments where people live, learn, work, and play.

 

Responsibilities:  

  • Select and order products to support a project’s design 
  • Revise documents under guidance of others  
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations including drawings, renderings, reports  
  • Maintain library / meet with product representatives 
  • Attend site visits and / or client meetings 
  • Assist the interior design team and project teams with additional tasks as needed.  

 

Things we value, but are not required to apply:  

  • In pursuit of a professional degree, or recently obtained a professional degree  
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling, visualization, and graphics software  
  • Proficiency in Revit  
  • Expertise in Sketch-Up/Lumion

Compensation: The hourly range for this role is $24.00 – $26.00.
