Internship Dates: Monday, May 4, 2026 – Friday, August 21, 2026 

Schedule: In office, Monday – Thursday, 32 hours per week  

 

DiMella Shaffer is seeking a Sustainability Intern for the summer 2026 internship cycle. As an intern, you’ll work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team delivering design excellence across a variety of markets. Our team is responsible for balancing quality, creativity, and functionality while working to exceed client goals.

Through design research, documentation revision, strong organizational skills, and clear communication, the Sustainability Intern will support our team in creating thoughtful, high-performance environments where people live, learn, work, and play. 

 

Responsibilities:  

  • Assist in embodied carbon calculations  
  • Assist in DiMella Shaffer’s Healthy Materials Initiative and material research 
  • Assist in the preparation of sustainability focused presentations  
  • Assist in sustainability data tracking 

 

Qualifications/Skill Requirements:  

  • Currently enrolled in an architectural program 
  • Strong interest in sustainable design principles and practices  
  • Excellent organizational, research, and communication skills 
  • Proficiency in Revit

Compensation: The hourly range for this role is $24.00 – $26.00
