Elizabeth Gray

Associate

Elizabeth’s passion for architecture began in elementary school, where she drew and mapped out her classrooms. A teacher recognized her talent and allowed Elizabeth to rearrange the desks based on her sketches, sparking a lifelong fascination.

Elizabeth thrives in a project’s early creative stages and the excitement of seeing a design fully realized and enjoyed by its occupants. With a keen problem-solving ability and an inquisitive nature, she can connect intricate details with broader project goals, ensuring the success of each project from concept to construction. Since joining DiMella Shaffer, she has focused on senior living design, where she believes architecture plays a vital role in helping people live with dignity, connect with nature, and foster a strong sense of community.

Outside of her work at DiMella Shaffer, Elizabeth enjoys spending time outdoors, playing tennis, and participating in candlepin bowling, revitalizing her imagination. Had she not pursued architecture, she would have channeled her background in music into psychology or product design.
