H3 Biomedicine Headquarters

The design process for this 12,000 sf office renovation kicked off with a charrette that included all levels of design staff as well as representatives from multiple departments of H3 Biomedicine. The inclusive process led to a reimagining of their office environment to better reflect company culture, workflow, and connectivity of employees. The design of the center staircase serves as the physical connection between office floors, as well as a space of informal connection between people. From here, other interactive spaces followed throughout the open floor office. A rethinking of how the Kitchen/Café could be utilized throughout the day resulted in a multi-centered space that can be used for meetings, team events, independent work as well as act as the heart and hub of the office. A coffee bar and large central island create additional areas for informal meetings and interactions. Color and pattern were used throughout the office space to celebrate the client’s branding and identity.
