As passions change throughout our formative years, so did that of Sapir’s. Leaving Hong Kong en route to the United States in hopes of realizing a dream to become a filmmaker, Sapir turned to another creative field and became an architect. His goal? To create spaces for the stories of people to take place. Over his career, he has designed government, academic, healthcare, and research buildings in the US and abroad. Especially important to him is the work of developing design methodology/process and mentoring junior designers. He is most proud of winning third place in a neighborhood Bocce tournament. Sapir’s professional experience serves him well at home, building Mega-Blok towers with his son and reading Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site.
