Vedanta Biosciences

Vedanta Biosciences is a ISO-8 clinical production suite project was allocated over two floors within a historic four story masonry building within the Blackstone Square development in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The ISO-8 clean production Suite included Buffer/Media Prep, Production, Lyophilization and Powder Handling space with supporting Partswash and Sterilizaiton, product storage space, gas distribution room, biohazard storage, and office and meeting space for the production group.

Significant dedicated building systems included a new pH neutralization system, dedicated air handling unit, chillers, RODI system, laboratory air compressor, laboratory vacuum system and dedicated laboratory exhaust fans. Challenges included providing production suite and associated rooftop mechanical systems within a historic building and pivoting from modular cleanroom design to stick built to adapt to supply chain challenges during pandemic.
